On 14th December 2002, ' The Country Parlour ' commenced trading in Lyndhurst,the heart of the beautiful New Forest National Park:
This historic village in Hampshire, England is a tourist haven, consistently busy throughout the year.For your information, the campsites will reopen 26th March 2009!(Just a short drive from Junction 1 of the M27.)People visit to enjoy the wonderful countryside & are amazed to find animals freely roaming in the forest so close to the village.'Alice Liddell' (inspiration for Lewis Carroll in Alice in Wonderland), is buried in our local churchyard & huge volumes of tourists visit her grave every year.
Lyndhurst is overwhelmed with a wonderful selection of restaurants, pubs & shops selling eclectic ranges;'The Country Parlour' is certainly no exception.
Throughout Christmas, people flock to see our wonderful Christmas light displays & soak up the festive spirit, making time for some Christmas shopping along the way.

Following customer demand, mail order commenced during the summer of 2003, & in the summer of 2004,we took a leap of faith & launched our fully transactional website for our customers added convenience.
In 2005, we wanted to give our customers additional options, so created our own Ebay store too, called 'Country Parlour Collectables'.
It soon became clear that we had outgrown our original premises, & in December 2005, we expanded the business further, & relocated to a larger premises in the more convenient centre of Lyndhurst high street.
This store is magically merchandised: It is packed with a fantastic range of ever changing, shaker style home decorations, humorous plaques, gifts & stationery for many occasions & ages, but in addition to the more unusual products, the store also stocks favourite branded goods, such as ' Russ ', so you will always have plenty of choice to suit all tastes, & pockets.
Whatever the occasion, 'The Country Parlour' is a 'one stop shopping experience' you will find hard to forget. Customers re visit constantly, leaving us with compliments about our store, its merchandise, & our friendly team, recommending it to all their family & friends. We regularly have customers’ travel hundreds of miles just to shop at our store, & have been told by our customers that memories & photos of us & our store are now worldwide.
High street gift shops like ours, are these days, becoming a dying breed, but website orders help to support small businesses like ourselves, in between your visits in person, & ensure that we can continue to provide you with such a great shopping experience.
