Terms and Conditions of Sale

Additional Costs Incurred:

1. Minimum order £10.00,( before p&p charges.)This is so we can justify the cost of packing, handling, & despacthing an order.

2. Orders outside European Union - Please contact for your shipping quote

3.The prices quoted are those currently being charged in our high street store, & we take every consideration to ensure that these are accurate. The prices of products quoted are exclusive of postage & packing fee.
We keep our P & P fees realsitic;slightly over 'Royal Mail' fees, to allow for the cost of employees to wrap, pack & dispatch carefully.(Underwrapping is a false economy, & we want you to receive your items in good condition.)It also includes packing materials,& a small percentage of merchant fees,& other costs associated with a retail unit.

You should also be aware that if you are not in the European Union, you may be liable to customs duties or other taxes when importing goods. You may wish to check with local tax administration to determine applicable rates.

Duration of delivery:

5.For orders within the U.K. ,goods are usually dispatched first class, unless otherwise specified by you, to the cardholders home address, & if in stock ,will reach you within approximately 3 working days of despatch of your order , although this cannot be assured.If items are unavoidably out of stock, we will notify you of the situation, & anticipated delivery date via email.
6. All goods displayed on web site are subject to availability. ‘The Country Parlour’ reserves the right to change products & prices at its discretion.

7. It is not possible to ensure goods are received by a specific date, unless you wish to pay for a premium service. We would be pleased to arrange this for you with a national courier service, for instance, however, please note that you will incur a premium p & p charge, dependant on circumstances. If you require a more specific service, please contact ‘The Country Parlour’, via the contact us link, or telephone, & obtain confirmation that this possible within the timescale required.

Cooling Off Period:

8. Once you have placed your order, you have an option of cancellation within 24 hours, prior to shipment .If you have submitted your order in error, please contact us in writing via our ‘contact us’ link, or by phone as soon as possible.

Cancellation Policy:

9. Under U.K. mail order law, you are entitled to cancel your order within 7 days of receipt of the goods. Goods must be returned in an undamaged state & you are liable for any charges incurred in returning them. We will refund monies due within 28 days.

10. U.K. law states that in the event of you being dissatisfied with the quality or description of the goods, you are entitled to bring this to our attention & we will offer a refund or replacement. Please return goods in an undamaged condition, with its original packaging & contents . ( Please note that the purchaser will incur the cost of returning the goods, unless the goods are proven to be faulty, in which case, ‘The Country Parlour’, will usually refund the cost of second class postage incurred. ) This does not affect your statutory rights.

Claims:

11.Every care is taken to ensure that purchases reach you in good condition .
Please note that customer care is extremely important to us: All goods are wrapped well, & sympathetically according to content, as we too, want you to receive your items in good condition. A certificate of posting is always obtained,without exception,& goods sent as soon as payment has cleared,(Post Office hours allowing.)
Once dispatched,your purchases are out of our care, & therefore we cannot accept responsibility for any items either lost or damaged in transit. In the unlikely event that your items arrive damaged, or become lost in transit, we would be happy to assist you in any claim as necessary with 'Royal Mail', by providing you with the certificate of posting.(Maximum value 32.00).
If your order exceeds this value, we will of course have used a superior mailing service such as special delivery, to ensure you are adequately covered.

Ownership:

12.Goods remain the property of ‘The Country Parlour’, until paid for in full.

Code Of Practice:

13. Our code of practice for customers in our store, under U.K. law, is extended to our web customers. This code does not affect your statutory rights. When orders are received, we respond as efficiently as possible to ensure that the person who is ordering is entitled to do so with that credit card. We cannot guarantee not to supply someone, who, at face value appears to be someone authorised to order & use a credit card. We reserve the right to not supply without explanation.

Security:

14. We use web standard SSL encryption to ensure your payment security . In addition, we use PROTX, an industry standard credit card clearing service. If you are unhappy with any security issues, remember that you can also order products from our extensive range in store via our friendly telephone mail ordering service.(Telephone 023 80284073.)For your added convenience, we also have an Ebay store called 'Country Parlour Collectables'@www.ebay.co.uk, where you will have additional payment options available to you.

15. We are committed to protecting your privacy, & will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.We will only collect sufficient information required to process your order, & provide you with the best possible service. We will collect your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, credit / debit card details. This will be held securely by us in accordance with our security policy, U.K. laws on taxation, & company law.

Complaints Procedure:

16. In the event you have a complaint, contact us via web site link with full details. We will respond within 7 working days.

News Letter:

17. We will occasionally send you e- mails regarding new services & products. You will be able to unsubscribe from this service if you so wish.

Customer Service:

18.All goods purchased actually in store are covered by our Stores Refund / Exchange Policy, with the exception of cosmetics, & jewellery sets containing earings, (for hygiene reasons).
If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, please return it in store together with a valid till receipt within 28 days of purchase, with it's original packing & contents, & we will be happy to give you a refund by the same means of your original payment.
As above, but without a valid till receipt, we will usually exchange to the current selling value of the returned goods.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
